I had a blast creating the “Fire of Life” from picking out the wooden base, to combining it with petrified slab at the bottom of the base, to glazing it with cherry color gel stain, to installing numerous magnets that hold everything together, to applying the 5 layers of finish on the wooden base.
I wanted to create something functioning, something someone will be able to use on a daily basis. Whether it is to take pictures on, take pictures of, to have a morning cup of coffee on, to play cards on, to set your favorite bouquet of flowers on. Perhaps one will get lost in the abyss of natural beauty of all of the amazing details of ancient petrification of magical beauty flowing through the perfectly polished top of the table.
Not only is this material absolutely gorgeous it is harder than rock allowing for its potential for longevity and durability.
